Donald Sokoni - Health and Sanitation Manager
The Department performs the following duties and responsibilities: -
1. To advice the General Manager on all matters related to Health and Sanitation
2. To prepare the department Budget in collaboration with the Planning and Commercial department
3. To go through and prepare policy guidelines on environmental health and Sanitation
4. Prepare and Harmonizing rules, policies and guidelines for environmental health and Sanitation;
5. To design, conduct and evaluate environmental health;
6. To manage and monitor the implementation of environmental health programs;
7. To coordinate all matters related to health and sanitation ;
8. To coordinate plans to deal with disasters/ emergencies that could affect public health and environment;
9. To coordinate implementation activities on the control of vectors and rodents of public health importance;
10. To coordinate activities of health education and epidemiology; Managing, coordinating, evaluating and disseminating the results of scientific studies on Environment Health;
11. To monitor and coordinate activities related to diseases outbreak; and
12. To perform any related responsibilities as may be assigned time to time by the General Manager.
