1. To control and manage the Kariakoo market together with any other markets whose control shall be vested in the Corporation;
2. To establish other markets in the city of Dar es Salaam control and manage them; subject to Section 12 of the Act;
3. To charge and collect stall fees, rents and tolls in respect of the use by any person of any market the control and management5 of which is vested in the Corporation;
4. To sell or otherwise deal in goods at any market;
5. To do anything or enter into any transaction which, in the opinion of the Board of Directors is calculated to facilitate proper and efficient carrying on of its activities and the proper exercise of its functions; and
6. To do all such deeds as may be necessary to enhance earnings promote public confidence or to evade or minimize any loss to the Corporation.
