Objective
To manage planning and investment activities and develop business opportunities for the Corporation.
The Department performs the following activities: -
1. Formulate and implement the investment Policy of the Corporation
2. Formulate and prepare Corporation’s medium-term strategic plan and annual plan;
3. Coordinate budget process in the Corporation;
4. Plan and develop projects;
5. Monitor and evaluate corporate projects;
6. Prepare daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reports of the corporation;
7. Prepare Memorandum of Understanding for development /collaborative projects/ programs for donor financing and cooperation;
8. Monitor implementation of Corporation’s medium-term strategic plan and annual plan; and
9. Undertake service delivery surveys to collect stakeholders/clients’ views on services rendered by the Corporation.
10. Formulate and implement commercial operations policy of the Corporate;
11. Collect, analyze and interpret data concerning agricultural products, agricultural inputs and goods traded within the market;
12. Conduct corporate development research;
13. Conduct marketing research for agricultural products;
14. Register and keep records of all traders within the markets;
15. Allocate rental spaces accordance to Kariakoo Markets policies or regulations;
16. Monitor wholesale business conducted in the basement of the main market building and other Corporation markets;
17. Conduct market research within and outside the Country;
18. Develop and institute market research guidelines and ethics;
19. Collect, compile and disseminate market research findings to stakeholders for the purpose of assisting production, investment, processing, product development and marketing;
20. Monitor retail business at the secondary market;
21. Research and purpose rates for all commercial premises rented by tenants.
22. Deal with government and legislative agencies on behalf of the organization;
23. Deal with public groups and other organizations with regard to social and other policies of the organization and legislations of the government;
24. Handle investor relations.
This Department is led by a Manager.
