Kariakoo Market Corporation (KMC) is a corporate body established under the Kariakoo Market Corporation Act No. 36 of 1974(Revised by Act No 16 of 1985) to manage and control the Kariakoo market and establish and manage other markets in the city of Dar es salaam. Being a commercial entity, the Kariakoo Market Corporations’ charges for its facilities to derive revenue and fund cost of labor for its employee. Kariakoo Market Corporation invites dynamic and suitable qualified Public Servant to fill one (1) transfer vacant post mentioned below:
PRINCIPAL ESTATE OFFICER II Holder of Master’s Degree in one of the following fields; Real Estate or Land Management and Valuation or Construction Economics or equivalent qualifications from recognized institution and must have working experience of at least ten (10) years. Must be registered by a relevant Professional Board. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To provide inputs in conducting needs assessment of Land acquisition for KMC buildings, commercial properties andCorporation’s houses;
To provide inputs in formulation and supervise implementation of short- and long- term Real Estate Management programs;
To provide inputs in establishment of alternative use of KMC Real Estate;
To supervise management survey of all KMC Properties to establish a benchmark for proper use;
To supervise enforcement of terms and conditions of lease agreements;
To supervise preparation/review of Real Estate Management Policy, Manuals and Guidelines;
To advise on acquisition, rental and maintenance of properties owned by KMC;
SALARY SCALE: KMCS 8
